The World Health Organization defines Healthtech as “the application of organized knowledge and skills in the form of devices, medicines, vaccines, procedures and systems developed to solve a health problem and improve quality of lives”. Companies like Apple, Google and Microsoft have been addressing the need for Healthtech with activities such as CareKit, DeepMind and Seeing AI, ongoing research projects which can facilitate the lives of blind people.
A 2016 report by the Finnish Health Technology Association revealed that health technology exports have grown by 6.6% compared to the previous year. In order for GOInternational Finland to co-create networking between Nordics and Indian’s Healthtech, we are constantly following the best startups and trying to connect with the most promising ones. Together with SLUSH, Nordic Investment Day, Upgraded Life Festival, Artic15, The Bridge, Digital Health Days, Nordic Life Science Days are events that are rendering this field quite dynamic, with new health hubs and accelerators growing in Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
